Far From Humans

Under construction

Far From Humans already has a dense universe. The next useful proof, however, is not another document: it is a piece of the game that works.

Far From Humans is in advanced pre-production. Its universe, prologue, several locations, the Voidrunner and a substantial part of the narrative architecture are defined. That does not mean the game is almost finished.

The next proof

The next decisive milestone is a vertical slice: a short but representative segment in which movement, camera, combat, flight, ground-to-space transition, dialogue and life aboard the ship stop existing as separate intentions.

The intended first route begins on Thren, crosses Rib 18-K, reaches an FTLA seam and then Concession. It will be reduced as much as necessary to test the heart of the game before producing its final scale.

What still has to be proven

Flight must feel good before it becomes spectacular. Combat must be readable before it becomes abundant. Conversations must leave traces before they multiply. Level streaming, cameras, saves and transitions must work on a real machine, not only in a production bible with admirable confidence in itself.

Tools

The game is being developed in Unreal Engine 5.8. Blender is used for assets and blockouts, while Git and automation tools keep production verifiable.

No decorative schedule

No release date has been announced. Milestones will be presented when they produce evidence: a prototype, a playable sequence, an in-engine capture, a test or a clearly documented decision.
